By Jenny Tang Every other Friday in room L502, students can get away from the stress of schoolwork and express their own opinions about the unsolved mysteries of the world. The Conspiracy Club is fresh off the boat at Wilson High and student-ran by Maya Serres, a senior at Wilson. Despite being new, the club already has goals for the future and an inviting, open-minded atmosphere. The club will engage students in conversation and critical thinking through an intriguing outlet.
“It’s a way to bond with people you wouldn’t expect, and to expand your knowledge on the historical and evolutionary knowledge of conspiracy theories,” Serres said when asked about the benefits of the club. Afraid to be wrong? Don’t be! “This club is simply guided by open minded discussion in an open environment,” said Serres, who personally also has her own take on different conspiracy theories and their credibility. Conspiracy Theory Club is a great experience, especially for those who are trying to get involved in more extracurricular activities. Any interested student is welcome to join the club and participate in fun, conspiracy-packed Fridays in Mr. Konecke’s room. For more information, contact Mr. Konecke or Maya Serres. Mr. Konecke can be found in room L502 or through email at [email protected], while Maya can be reached at [email protected].
