By Amanda Le Photography by Amanda Le East Asian Club has been with Wilson for many years, and they actively work to improve the exposure of East Asian culture to the students! The interactive activities varies year to year because the program is directly connected to a sister school in China called Shijiazhuang NO. 1 High School. Fun cultural and extracurricular activities includes some of the following:
The picture to the right shows an EAC's club member putting her own writing skills to the test! Year after year, EAC club also organizes the trips to China or Chinatown. The club officers and advisor worked the best of their abilities to make sure the experience is fun for everyone. Last fall, EAC members became hostesses for a week to some Shijiazhuang NO.1 students who are seeing America for the first time. In exchange for that, when winter comes, Wilson students are able to go to China and be hosted by them! Other than that, in the winter, EAC members also opened a dumpling sale for all of the teachers, making over roughly 300 dumplings.
