By Victoria Gibbs and Joshua Dobrosky Wilson students and faculty takes a lot of pride in our school. From our sports teams to our average SAT scores, Wilson strives to do their best in all areas. So why are they continually serving us bad lunches?
The inconsistent quality of food is not subject to the high school, either - the elementary and middle schools have the same problem. Not having flavorful or high quality lunches is one ting, but being served food that is moldy, stale, or crawling with maggots is another completely. There has been incident after incident of students finding things like hair and mold in their foods, though it is the maggot incident is that has really emphasized the problem. Wilson administrators will soon decide whether or not they will withdraw the school from the National School Lunch and Breakfast program. We, along with many other of our fellow peers, are pushing and hoping that they do. This will hopefully make room for flexibility in the menu, additional a la carte items, larger portion sizes, and overall, better food.
