By Maggie Foight Wilson’s triple-A swim team competed at PIAA’s state championships on March 18th and 19th. This was the final meet for high school swimming this season, and the Bulldogs fought hard. The first event, the 200-yard medley relay, started both the girls’ and boys’ teams off well. Each placed in the top fifteen relays. The girls’ relay was comprised of Emma Appler (freshman, backstroke), Julia Cortazzo (sophomore, breaststroke), Natalie Tasca (senior, butterfly), and Carolyn Pitorak (freshman, freestyle). Alexander Vottero (junior, backstroke), Matthew Eisenberg (junior, breaststroke), Andrew Sillhart (junior, butterfly), and Harrison Hunsberger (junior, freestyle) made up the boys’ relay.

Some of the best talent from around the country come together in Indianapolis and watch as the prospects prove their worth or fail to impress. The combine is split into four days and all of the days are based on specific positions. Here are all four days in a concise review. Beginning on Thursday, April 27th, the first round draft picks will be the talk of pigskin aficionados. As media outlets and potential pro players head down Ben Franklin Highway, it will be interesting to see who makes the top 5. |
