By: Kymari Clarke On Wednesday, Feb. 3, the 2019-2020 senior class of athletes at Wilson High School were recognized for their achievements during the National Signing Day Recognition Ceremony. Kaya Burkhart, the first athlete recognized, will be attending Division II Jefferson University for basketball. This year, Burkhart became the 13th girls basketball player in Wilson History to score 1000 career points. Gabe Cobaugh was second to be announced and will be attending Division Bloomsburg University for swimming. Cobaugh is a three-time district qualifier. Kailie Conner will be attending Division I Miami University for field hockey. Conner was named All-Division for three consecutive years. David Dries will be attending Division II Lock Haven University for soccer. Dries was named All-County in 2018 and 2019. Malachi Eberly will be attending Division III Washington and Lee University for swimming. Eberly is a record holder for the 200-meter relay. Eberly was also a district runner-up in the 100-meter butterfly. He also plays water polo for Wilson. Sarah Gatehouse will be attending Division II Kutztown University for field hockey. Gatehouse was named All-Division in 2019. She also plays softball for Wilson. Brady Gibble will be attending Division I Old Dominion University for baseball. Gibble is a first-team All-County player. He also plays football for Wilson. Brody Heckman will be attending Division II West Chester University for swimming. Heckman was named All-League and All-State in 2018 and All-League, All-State and All-American in 2019. He also plays water polo for Wilson. Kylie Hoffman will be attending Division II West Chester University for track and field. Hoffman was named All-Division in the 4 by 100-meter relay in 2019. She also played field hockey for Wilson. Emily Horace will be attending Division I American University for field hockey. Horace was Academic All-State and All-American in 2018 and 2019. Horace has also played softball and track for Wilson. Morgan Kaufman will be attending Division I University of Connecticut for field hockey. Kaufman was named the Berks County Division I MVP in 2017. Seth Kramlich will be attending Division I Life University for rugby. Kramlich is also a member of Wilson’s wrestling team. He led his team to a state runner-up finish. Peyton Kraras will be attending Division III Marymount for golf. Kraras earned the Wilson Outstanding Athletic Achievement Award. Tavin Krick will be attending Division III Bridgewater College for lacrosse. Emily Magalotti will be attending Division I University of North Carolina for lacrosse. Jack Miller will be attending Division II Shippensburg University for track and field. Erin Moyer will be attending Division II Indiana University of Pennsylvania for swimming. Damaurys Rodriguez will be attending Division I Bryant University for baseball. Jada Stambaugh will be attending Division II Bloomsburg University for swimming. Brynn Underwood will be attending Division I American University for field hockey. Reagan Underwood will be attending Division I Liberty University for field hockey. Talia Spillerman will be attending Division I University of Pittsburgh for cross country and track and field. Make sure to congratulate these star athletes and students in the hallways!
