Hillary Rodham Clinton pulled a huge win over her opponent, Sen. Bernie Sanders in the South Carolina primaries on Feb. 27. Winning 73.5% of the vote and 39 of the delegate vote, it seems as though Clinton will have a shoo-in for the Democratic nomination.

In the fight against Apple and the FBI to create an encryption code to access the iPhone of one of the terrorists involved in the San Bernardino shootings, there have been many controversies and reports of misinformation in regards to the case. On Feb. 17, a California judge ordered Apple to unlock the phone of one of the San Bernardino shooters, to which Tim Cook responded in an open letter an appeal to the request, refusing to create a “backdoor” for its software.
Saturday, February 13, 2016 marked the sudden death of Supreme Court Justice, Antonin Scalia, 79, who was said to have died from natural causes in Shafter, Texas. As listed in the Constitution of the United States of America, it is within the current President’s power to appoint a replacement Justice in a timely fashion. Yet there is controversy revolving around President Barack Obama appointing the next Justice or leaving the decision up to the next president, with the Republican controlled Senate at the helm of the talk. |
