By AnnaBell Anderson Wilson High School sophomore, Morgan Dietrich, has been video editing since 2015. For her, this started off as just a casual activity. She began making edits for Vine, but then created an Instagram account which inspired her to continue with her newfound passion. Dietrich has also begun making digital drawings, and she has been offered a profit for some of her artwork.
Morgan wanted to make editing a priority, since it’s what she loves to do. “I think seeing all the cool things people were making on Vine made me want to start editing,” she said. “I wanted to see if I could do it, mostly out of curiosity, and it ended up becoming one of my favorite things to do.” Dietrich enjoys being a part of the multifandom editing community. “It’s not hard to get into the community once you start editing. From my experience, you just need to keep at it and interact with other editors so you can spread out your account.” Outside of being a part of the editing community on Instagram, Dietrich was also a part of the Wilson Lacrosse team throughout middle school. In addition, she had been into horseback riding and she had done it for most of her life. In 2018, Morgan also began a makeup instagram dedicated to her amazing cosmetic abilities. Morgan’s account is @Zyacinth, where you can find her amazing video edits and leave some requests for movies and T.V. shows you might like to see her edit.
