However, the staggering numbers of subscribers just on the first day caused quite a few technical issues, such as broken images, entire categories of shows and movies that refused to load, and many problems getting these items to even play. Fortunately, now that Disney+ has made it through their first month, they have fixed most of their flaws so their subscribers can enjoy the service without any technical difficulties. Though the app now has about 10 million subscribers, it is projected that by 2024 it could have 130 million subscribers.
Disney+ is available on many different devices and platforms, such as iOS, Apple TV, Google Chromecast, Android, Android TV, PlayStation 4, Roku, Xbox One, Select Amazon Fire TV devices, LG Smart TVs, and Samsung Smart TVs. However, Samsung Smart TVs must be a 2016 model or newer to get Disney+, anything older will unfortunately not be able to use the streaming service. The streaming service for Disney lovers is much like Netflix or Hulu, where shows and movies can be streamed, the platform also has created its own original shows like High School Musical: The Musical: The Series. A monthly subscription to Disney+ is $7 a month, or $70 for a year. Disney+ can also be bundled with Hulu and ESPN+ for $13 a month; it is very reasonable considering the subscriber gets three different services for such a low price. Also, even films that were locked in the “Disney vault” are available for streaming on this platform. When a film was locked in the “Disney vault,” it could not be purchased or streamed anywhere, but, just now, the subscribers of Disney+ have regained access to these films. In addition to the Disney owned movies and shows, the app will feature content from Pixar, National Geographic, Star Wars, and Marvel, capturing every audience possible with its wide variety of options. Disney+ has been a huge hit in its short time available, and is projected to grow even subscribers within the next couple of years
